Villa Khufu Pyramid Hotel is a great place to stay if you travel to Egypt. The location was perfect because it was in a quiet part of Giza in a little street away from the noisy streets. And there is an amazing and unique view of one of the pyramids front the hotel roof top where you are having your meals.. It was my favourite place! The staff was very friendly, helpful and fun to be with. There's was the Cook Abdou (cooking excellent food), at the reception there was a big team with wonderful people such as Amr, Islem, Mohamed, the boss Mr Fawzy, and many others. The hotel team of drivers Saeed, Yasser, Omar were reliable and made you feel safe. I was a single lady travelling and they all looked after me really well and gave me the best advices. The hotel organises various tours and I chose the first day a camel ride with Nasser who lives close by and who has a horse and a camel called Gamal. We rode through the town up to the desert close to the pyramids (outside the gates) and I had a wonderful time with Nasser who is very nice. He also took me shopping for some papyrus and lotus perfume, and he invited me in his home for a cup of tea. Thank you Nasser! The second day I did a tourist tour to see Saqqara pyramids, the outdoor museum with Ramses 2 statue, and Giza plateau. I spent the whole day from 9 am to 5 pm with Yasser a very experimented driver and wonderful Heba the lady Historian Guide that I would highly recommend! A wonderful and very interesting day thanks to Heba who would teach me many things. We also had good fun! For the animal.lovers, there are several cats in the hotel who live there, and there was a little kitten too. The hotel staff feed them, and give them water and look after them, which is amazing. Well done! I was really sad to leave all these amazing and lovely people and my heart will never forget them. God bless them all. Multum shukran to all the team of Villa Khufu Pyramid Hotel that I would highly recommend. Merci beaucoup ! 🙏🙏🙏

Villa Khufu seems to be quite an institution amongst the locals. It’s a large rambling place, full of character and authentic atmosphere. You can really feel that it’s a much loved business that’s been handed down through the family. It’s a bit further out than many of the other Giza hotels which are quite bunched together around the ticket office. This makes it much more peaceful and relaxing to come back to after a long busy day. The hotel sits right beneath the main Khufu pyramid…I could open the wooden French doors to my balcony and have my morning coffee whilst contemplating it. My room was simple but roomy….old but clean. Very comfy bed with a cosy duvet, brilliant shower and as it was winter I was given a little heater. I felt very much at home and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked the way that they left me to go about my days without any hassle to take their tours, taxis or guides. Tastefully decorated rooftop area with set menu breakfasts. All in all if you want to stay in a comfortable place that’s very good value for money and off the Giza Pyramids beaten track then go for Villa Khufu….Just to add that the government had demolished a lot of the surrounding buildings to make way for new development but this has happenned to the entire area of hotels…it doesn’t take away the peace and doesn’t seem to matter when you have such a good view of the main pyramid. As I was on a solo trip I took a rickshaw (Tuk Tuk) or horse cart back after dark.

Our group of family and friends absolutely loved Villa Khufu Pyramids Hotel! We arrived in the evening and the driver took us from the airport, so we were a bit late for dinner. Kharam welcomed us and stayed with the restaurant crew to make sure we had food and everything was ok. We also booked the tour that includes the Giza pyramids and we were extremely lucky to have Momohsen as a guide (he is an Egyptian mythology professor) who brought us to many places and introduced us to different Egyptian traditions. We definitely recommend getting a tour with them as well. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. Our rooms were facing the Khufu (Cheops) pyramid, which is absolutely surreal and amazing to experience in such a short distance! There is a rooftop open space and a restaurant, where breakfast is served, also looking at the pyramid. The food was always delicious, healthy, and safe (we also had dinners there). The hotel and restaurant crew were lovely, kind, and welcoming people. They were always checking in on us if we had everything we needed and arranged rides for our group (we were 6, so we needed a bigger car and it was much better to arrange that with the hotel, rather than using other services). Rahma was always responsive on whatsapp for any questions we had before our arrival. We are very happy and grateful for our experience with Villa Khufu <3

I couldn’t have been happier here, I had an operation so I was pretty much bed bound for my entire stay in the hotel. Staff done EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING they could do to support me. They would ask me when I was ready to clean my room and as I would sit just outside they would race around to clean the room as fast as they could to let me get back in the room, I asked for a room close as possible to reception and I was literally on the reception. It was extremely relaxing, quiet and peaceful and just what I was looking for to heal from my operation. Really good place to discover Egypt, the pyramids from the grounds does not disappoint it was truly amazing. As I was healing we had visitors (my husband is Egyptian) the staff offered to open other rooms so they could visit us and be comfortable! The driver was amazing! He was really insightful and knowledgable and drove as carefully as he could to make me as comfortable as I could be. I will definatly be visiting again next year and this time I can enjoy all there is around as it’s in such a great spot!

Key selling points are the spectacular rooftop terrace views of the Khufu pyramid up on the Giza plain. These contrast with the sights of the low-rise and down at heal neighbourhood. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the entrance to the pyramid complex and the bustling main drag of shops, cafés, restaurants, and hotels. The hotel itself is set in a walled compound and provides basic but comfortable enough accommodation. The surrounding streets could appear daunting, especially for female travellers after dark. The staff were friendly enough and will try to sell you all the tours, camel rides, and boat trips they can. We did appreciate the airport pick-ups and drop -offs for US$20 each way, but worked out and haggled the rest ourselves. Basic breakfast, but loved the espressos. There's a reasonable menu for lunch and dinner if you don't fancy stepping out. Drinkies shop nearby sells alcoholic drinks for your evening sundowner, if that's what you want.
